Life is full of surprises and occasionally it presents itself like this and you feel as if one is in limbo. But in the middle of all that mayhem, there is an element that can be found—beauty. And that is the beauty of it – the search for beauty in things that we do not consider beautiful; it is about transition, learning from the difficulties life throws at us, and evolving past them. It is now time to look into several phases of life that open up new possibilities and introduce viewers to the concept of finding beauty in life’s sudden twists.
Embracing Uncertainty
Chaos tends to disrupt comfortable repetitive schedules in which we find ourselves being comfortable and out of our element. This may be rather unsettling at times, but this can be seen as an opportunity as well. Accepting the fact that we cannot control all aspects of life refers to the fact that not everything in life has to be planned. When we stop being so rigid and so stuck in our ways of thinking, we allow ourselves to be present in new experiences.
It is probably one of the biggest truths in life, that flaws are beautiful and we don’t always need to aim for the ideal. It is this chaos and the events that are not disciplined or orderly that are often the most profound. For example, imagine a drive to some other town on a fancy day without any prior planning. There are always traffic jams and roadblocks, but, by chance, you get to see beautiful scenery or have a pleasant chat with a passerby. This chaos brings out the essence of beauty whenever it rears its head.
Transformation Through Challenges
It is true that the hardship is really a good teacher at many times. Humbling experiences such as job loss, damaged relations or any other event that forces us to slow down or even bump down helps in our development. Such changes are possible to bring disturbance, and yet it is not always bad as it opens the door to the new opportunities for the improvements of life.
Self-improvement does not occur from merely remaining in one position; self-improvement occurs from learning how to ride the storm and defy the waves within. When one looks at it, every failure is an opportunity in another view. Thus, the essence of seeking for beauty in the societies’ mess is in acknowledging that sorrow and uneasiness are the steps to the advancement of personal development.
For instance, let’s examine the butterfly and cope with it. It starts like a caterpillar that needs to be cocooned in order to metamorphose into a butterfly: a fantastic process fraught with confusion and turmoil but results in a thing of beauty. In the same way, in our own lives, we can have the periods of disorder or confusion acting as the trigger as to who we are to become.
It’s a beautiful chaos, here and now: finding safety in anticipating beauty amidst the disorder of life.
It does not have to be a big chaos, as big-chaos can complicate an already messy situation. In some cases, those occasional and normal interactions or simple routines of life, like toys littering the living room, a cluttered desk or trying to wake up and get ready for the day, are the most wonderful. Such moments make us remember that life is not always full of joyful colors and perfect lines and it is alright.
However, the imperfection in one’s life could be the most fascinating thing in life. A child’s giggling as they chase their siblings in the form of what can be described as mayhem in a playpen or the strength of a family meal in which the sounds of conversations blend together may seem to be disorder. However, if we will change our angle of view, we will spot pure happiness so often missing in those instances we connect.
Focusing on the beauty in the middle of the daily rush is an important skill a person develops. It means we actually have to be patient and enjoy what is in front of us instead of focusing on what one would like to be varying. As soon as we embrace life with its imperfections, blotches, and the uncertainty of its course, we start to see the sparkle in mundane routine.
Chaos as a Source of Creativity
It is during moments of confusion that the majority of modern inventions and designs originate from. Creativity loves chaos because in chaos we are able to imagine beyond the limitations and test the unknown. Chaos in people’s lives should not be viewed as negative; it can inspire them, show them a different angle or give ideas on how to tackle a particular issue.
For example, artists and musicians who base their inspiration from problems and disorder that they have in their lives. In turmoil, there is no place for normal ways of doing things which often unleashes creativity that results to innovation.
The next time you find yourself dealing with chaos, switch your attitude from frustration to curiosity. Finally, before reacting to an event that challenging the normalcy and order of your day, simply ask yourself two questions, namely: “What can I get out of this or better still, how can I make something good out of this?” With such an attitude of your mind, you will observe that disorder is the perfect place to start picking beauty from.
Conclusion
The art of finding beauty in the chaos is simply the idea of accepting life and opportunities even in its complexity. In changing our perspectives of the experiences that we undergo, we can then be able to come up with the following conclusions; Sometimes you do end up spending your whole life with someone other than the one you planned for, and that’s the charm of life.
